I have championed progressive causes, shaped by a strong belief in social and environmental responsibility and the importance of creating positive change. My involvement in these causes has encouraged me to look beyond individual issues and develop a broader understanding of the world, particularly the complex relationship between science, society and the environment. I am now a molecular biologist with a background in environmental science, combining a scientific perspective with a longstanding commitment to progressive values. My work in science has strengthened my appreciation for evidence-based and outcomes focused advocacy. That is why I am on the side of WePlanet; together we fight for scientific solutions to global environmental problems. I believe that meaningful change requires both a strong understanding of the evidence and a willingness to engage with the broader social and environmental context in which that evidence matters.
