About the event
We're delighted to welcome special guest speaker, Professor Andrew Laslett, to our April meeting!
Andrew is Head of R&D at Magic Valley, where he deploys his biomedical expertise to make meat sustainably and without harming animals. Making meat from cells lets us enjoy the foods we know and love without slaughter and using less of the earth's resources.
Andrew previously led stem cell research teams at CSIRO and at the Australian Stem Cell Centre at Monash University, and has served as a Board member and Director of the Australian Society for Medical Research. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute at Monash University.
